ARMANINI,CULAR,MODRIC

     Stvaranje je samotnicki posao i stvaratelj je usamljenik. Prepusten sebi pred ocima mnostva kao plesac na zici pokazuje svoje umijece pokusavajuci odrzati ravnotezu izmedu oprecnih misli,cuvstava i htijenja, a jedino cvrsto uporiste iznad bezdana nepostojanja je tvarnost slike. Slikajuci,slikar je uvijek sam,stojeci s kistom i paletom pred slikom kao njen rob i kao njen gospodar. Pred slikom, stoji sam pred sobom pokusavajuci istovremeno prikriti i otkriti,spoznati i zaboraviti,zatajiti i objaviti.Samoca stvaranja i nemilosrdna iskrenost slike koja nista ne moze sakriti bude tjeskobu koju uzivatelj slike rijetko osjeti,jer njemu su dani uzitak i divljenje ili radost i cudenje. Priznanja je lako dijeliti sa svakim,a tjeskoba pak ostaje unutarnje,intimno zadovoljstvo slikara koje moze podjeliti s nekim vrlo bliskim,s nekim tko i sam nosi slicno iskustvo.Bliskost i prijateljstvo je prvi,a trenutacno mozda i najvazniji razlog zajednickog izlaganja Ivane Armanini,Sinise Culara i Zlatka Modrica. Zato u ovoj izlozbi ne treba traziti tragove stilskog ili ideoloskog udruzivanja,programa i manifesta. Ovaj se postav moze shvatiti kao tri usporedne samostalne izlozbe i nudi izuzetnu priliku da se barem dijelom pronikne u sustav promisljanja svakog pojedinog autora i razvoja stvaralackih osobnosti opcenito.Armanini,Cular i Modric pripadaju istoj akademskoj generaciji i njihovo se djelovanje na vise nacina susrece,dodiruje i preplice. Izrazit interes i osjecaj za boju upadljiva je zajednicka znacajka. Dok se to zanimanje kod Armanini ogleda u finoci zapazanja svjetla,videnog i dozivljenog,kod Culara se pojavljuje u istrazivanju snage koju nose boje u svojoj cistoci i suodnosu. Modric pak trazi njihov unutrasnji govor kojim zeli izraziti vlastitu nutrinu...........Cular primjerice smjesta svoje krajobraze u okomit format koji je nacelno neprimjeren takvoj temi i fiziologiji ljudskog vida. Uz to svi radovi nose jednak naziv. 'Krajolik' je carobna rijec koja se ponavlja u potpisu svake slike i ponistava znacenje naziva,a jednako se u 'neprimjerenom' izrazu slike negira svaka prepoznatljivost i asocijativnost koje se pojavljuju u slucajnim ili namjernim elementima figurativnog u samoj slici.Pomak od vanjskog svijeta,videnog i konkretnog k onom unutrasnjem,misticnom i apstraktnom.............Posebni osobni interesi dovode ih ponovo do neceg zajednickog,do odabira klasicnog slikarskog materijala i instrumentarija. Medu mladim autorima u svijetu,a posebice kod nas nije ni moderno ni pomodno slikati na platnu,bojama i kistom pa tako Ivana Armanini,Sinisa Cular i Zlatko Modric izlaze iz svih trendovskih okvira.Uza sve cvrste zajednicke odrednice radove ovo troje autora trenutacno nisu trend u suvremenoj umjetnosti,ali mogli bi to postati.                                                                                  Dubravko Gluhinic

                                                                                                         Creation is solitary job and a maker is a lonely person. Leaved to himself in the eyes of many as a dancer on the wire he shows his skill trying to maintain the equilibrium among the different thoughts, senses and wishes, and the only stronghold above the endless of nonexistence is the reality of painting. Painting, the painter is always alone, standing with brush and palette in front of picture as its slave and its master. In front of the picture he is standing in front of himself trying in the same time to cover, to discover, to know and to forget, to hide and to declare.Loneliness of making, and unmerciful sincerity of painting that can hide nothing, wake the anxiety what person who enjoy in picture can not feel, his gifts are enjoyment,  pleasure, admiration and wonder. Credits are easy to share with everybody, anxiety stays as internal intimate pleasure of the painter what can share with someone very close, with someone who share same experience.Closeness and friendship is the first, and currently maybe the most important reason of common exhibition of Ivana Armanini, Sinisa Cular and Zatko Modric. That’s why in this exhibition should not be searched for traces of stylish or ideological association program or manifest. This occasion can be understood as a three separate exhibitions and it gives extraordinary chance that at least gives partial insight view of thinking system of each individual author and development of their creative abilities in general.Armanini, Cular and Modric belong to the same academic generation and their works in many ways coexist, touch and meet together. Distinctive interest and sense for color is noticeable and common fact. When Armanini this interest shows in fineness of perception of light, seen and experienced, then Cular shows it in the exploration of power that color brings in its cleanness and coexistence. Modric searches for its internal speech to express his own internity.Cular, for example places his landscapes into vertical format what is globally inadequate to such subject and physiology of human sight. By that, all works have same name. “Landscape” is a magic word that repeats in signature of every painting and deletes the meaning of name, and also in similar “inadequate” expression of the painting are negated all identifications and associations that can show in coincident  or deliberate elements of figurative in the painting itself. Delay from the outer world, seen and concrete to the internal, mystical and abstract. Special personal interests brought them again to something common to all, from selection of classical painting material and accessories. Among the young authors in world, and especially here, it is not modern or popular to paint on canvas with paint and brush, and so Ivana Armanini, Sinisa Cular and Zlatko Modric reach out from all trend boundaries.With all strong common directions, work of these three authors is not currently trend in modern art, but might become.  Dubravko Gluhinic
